Thank you all so much for your support, prayers, and good wishes - they really mean a lot. I'll let you know what happens - the radiology office said that I would most likely hear something on Monday. In the meantime, since worrying won't change a thing, I'm going to concentrate on doing some enjoyable things this weekend.

Hugs all around,
Christine

Praying that, it's either nothing, or if it is something, that you've caught it very very early. Keep us posted about your results. We're here for support, encouragement, to answer questions, citing our own journey, and just to talk too! Hugs!!!

Christine, Welcome to the team. Sorry you have to endure that difficult wait for diagnosis. I hope you receive good news. There is a lot of support here whenever you need it. Keep us posted.

I had a lumpectomy 3 months after I turned 50. I always said I was very lucky because they caught it before it had spread. Each step of the way seems to have a wait time. I found it best to immerse myself in other things as I went through the process of surgery and radiation. It really helped me stay positive and not feel sorry for myself.

Take care. You don't walk alone here. emoticon

Hi, all,

I now know what it's like to live in fear...I had an MRI-guided biopsy (2 sites, L breast) this past Tuesday, and I'm anxiously awaiting the results. I know it sounds fatalistic, but I have to tell you that somehow, I'm convinced that there's SOMETHING going on in there - now, it's just a matter of what and how serious. This journey of diagnosis, which has been going on for about a month, is truly humbling. I've heard it said that God only sends serious life challenges to those He believes can withstand them - at this point, I must say that I'd prefer that God would come to think of me as a bit more of a wimp.

I'm in my mid-50's, married, no children (just a Balinese cat who THINKS he's my son!), working as a defense contractor. I live in sunny Central Florida. I love to birdwatch, read, knit, paint, and sing barbershop.

Best, Christine
