Welcome! I am a five year this coming June. My surgery was in March of 08 and then I did radiation. Looking forward to getting off Tamoxifen and hopefully able to drop weight more easily. Glad you made it back. It is a great network and program.

Hi. I actually joined Spark over a year ago but after several tries never really followed through. Now due to raising insurance costs, the orthopaedic group where I work has decided to offer a Wellness program in which they will reduce our insurance premium if we participate. So I'm back and hopefully will make it work this time. Also, this is my 5th year of being a breast cancer survivor! I found the lump five years ago end of January and my last chemo treatment was end of August. So at that time I will be five years cancer free! I have started participating in two exercise programs here at work. Tuesday is kickboxing and Thursday is yoga/pilates. I hope that it will help tone muscles up as well as help me loose weight. I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction surgery 4 years ago and we have had problems with one breast staying fully formed. I think it has something to do with weak muscles but after all the surgeries I have not had the inclination to go back and have it fixed yet. Hopefully after losing weight and getting in shape I will feel like havin something done about this.
