Hello! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Kris, I'm 45 years old, married, and I have a 19 year old daughter. I was diagnosed with Stage 1 invasive breast cancer of the left breast on February 11, 2013 after a routine mammogram found an irregular clump of calcifications. I had a lumpectomy with sentinel node biopsy on Feb. 28th. My nodes were negative and my cancer was hormone positive. I started radiation treatments on Apr 18th... 2 days after my daughter's wedding. I completed radiation on May 16th. My skin is now healed and my energy levels are starting to return. I'm taking Tamoxifen and tolerating it pretty well so far. I started back with exercising last week and very happy to have it a part of my normal routine again!

hello there. just a little about myself. I have always been a big supporter of breast cancer awareness. any doubt would be dismissed if you see my kitchen where i have all pink appliances that donate percentage to the cause. Then about 6 months ago i got a job setting appointment for mammo's. and i felt i was doing real good, till the reality of health care and insurance system set in. 4 months ago it hit home when my sister was diagnosed with Padget's disease. luckily she caught it at the very beginning and was able to have it taken care of quickly.
so for now i will do my part to help and keep buying pink ribbon. :)
