Welcome to the group! We are all on this road together. I am a five year survivor, but belonged to Sparkpeople before that. I gained 20 lbs with my chemo, and every time I tried to talk to the doctor or nurse, they just said they were glad I wasn't losing( when I clearly needed to lose) anyway, I finally got serious, and have lost 30 lbs since Feb. My hubs has lost 75. We got rid of sugar, bread, soft drinks, and all sweets. I have gradually added back a little carbs- blueberry pancakes and tortillas for quesadillas or for breakfast burritos.

Anyway, any time you need questions answered, support, or just a hug, we are here.

Hello, I was diagnosed with breast cancer twice in less than a year. I finished chemo this summer and will finish radiation on Tuesday. I thought I'd lose some weight during chemo but actually gained 15 pounds. I am at my heaviest weight right now. My hair's finally growing back, I'm back to work and feel pretty good except for my weight. I am having a hard time getting motivated but am ready to lose weight, get healthy and get on with my life. I've hear nothing but good about this website and the support it provides. I don't have the time or the money to join a gym or go to weekly meetings like WW because I work crazy and long hours. I know that this team of breast cancer survivors can relate to my situation and look forward to becoming a team member!
