HI Donna~~
I am Heather from New Brunswick Canada....my hubby and I are both retired since 2007 and we started camping in 2008. Back then we had a VERY small 18ft travel trailer that served us well as a starter...
We went across Canada including the Yukon and the Arctic Circle and even did a drive ( no trailer ) into Alaska...the only Territory in Canada we did not visit was Nunavut and we doubt we will ever do that one.

Besides that we took this small trailer as far south as Greenville SC where my son lived at that time ( he now lives in Knoxville TN )

In 2014 we bought a 25 ft ( 2015 ) Forest River Micro Lite Travel Trailer made by Flagstaff. We have been using this one since then.
Hubby has got tired travelling long distances so over the past 3 summer's ( this is the third one ) we have parked seasonal near my hometown where my sister and 4 brothers and my 88 year old Mom live.
We stayed put the last 2 summers but this summer we are heading out ( tomorrow actually ) to meet up in Mackinaw City MI for the RV'ers Enthusiasts Rally.
I have met our captain Sharon before in our travels and another member Mary but I am looking forward to meeting some of the others I chat to~~

If you go look at my Spark page you will see that on 2010/2011....I lost over 90 lbs~~!!
Then in October 2011....I stopped smoking and even though I kept trying over the next six years to eat healthy and tried not to gain weight ...it became a losing battle till last year in October ( 2017 ) I had gained back all but about 10 lbs of the 90 I had lost by that time!
Since October 2017....I have lost 51.8 lbs but still need to lose another 30 to 40 to get back where I was before I stopped smoking!
AND NO~~ I never went back to smoking....

Looking forward to getting to know you better~~ emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hi Donna,

My hubby and I have camped all our married life. He had never be camping until we met. Went on a 3 week vacation to the west coast for the first time out so it was a make or break. Still going. Traveled 11,000+ miles last summer. We winter in Texas down on the Rio Grande River Valley area (RGV) by McAllen and summers either on the road or in MN.

This summer we were late in coming up out of the RGV and are still working our way to MN. Stopped in Branson to see friends at Treasure Lake and some shows then headed to Elkhart, IN to look at travel trailers as ours is a 12 yrs. old 32 footer and mega miles. Will head to MacKinaw next for our SP RV rally then home. We have been in 42 states and still need to go to New England, Alaska and Hawaii. Love our travels.

Welcome to a very friendly team!!

Hi, Donna!

Let me start by mentioning that I saw your Chuck Swindoll quote - I just did a copy and paste of his words on attitude. I had seen them years ago but probably couldn't have told you that he was the author any more. When I saw the quote on an email today, I knew I wanted it to refer to it more often, so I did the copy and paste.

I am Tammy, and my DH and I have camped for most of our married life, beginning in a tent, working up to a motorhome, but two years ago we sold the motorhome and downsized to a fifth wheel because of potential safety risks with DH driving. The fifth wheel stays at an RV resort of which we are members which is located in Branson, MO, but a couple of years ago I watched a single female friend who went all over in her Casita, and I began to think that I actually could tow something and we then had a journey toward our 22 ft travel trailer that I can now pull fairly competently. It allows us to go other places than the just the RV resort. We try to make it to Pensacola once a year to visit my DS and BIL, and we enjoy going to a state trout park less than two hours from home. We sometimes use the travel trailer to attend family events as well.

DH has been retired quite a while, and I say that I am mostly retired. I was an educator, and when I found I could retire early with just a bit of a buy-in to my retirement system, I did it. The stress was getting to me, and I do consider that it was worth the $$. I still teach in the fall and spring at a local campus of a community college and love it! However, I can see that I am getting closer to the time that I will be okay to let even that go. We still probably won't be full time because of some health issues and pain management.

Welcome to this team!

My name is Tammy and I live in SW Missouri.

Hello Again!
We sold our home and 7.5 acres 6 yrs ago. At first we were going to be full time RVer's. The year before we sold my DH has a serious heart attack and quadruple bypass surgery. After coming so close to losing him, I had a change of heart. We have a 38ft Class A MH and I do not drive it. If anything happens to DH, I would not live in the MH. So we purchased a double wide manufactured home in a wonderful community. We love living here in the nice weather and when the weather turns cold we head south. We went to AZ for 9 yrs and the last 2 yrs we have stayed in TX. We found a lovely little rv resort (Seabreeze RV Resort) in Portland, TX across the bay from Corpus Christi which we are returning to this winter. I have also been a member of SP since 2006. You would think I should be at my goal. I have been close a couple times then let it all go and gained most of it back. This time I am actually following SP guidelines and hoping it is the last time I have to lose. I'm getting to old for all this yo-yoing!

Hi . . .I am Donna and right now we live in Vermont but we have our home for sale and when it sells we hope to move to NH. If it sells in the winter we are going to put our things in storage and take our Class B Roadtrek 190P South and West until Springtime. I don't want to buy a new house in the Winter. We are both retired and love to travel. We have been to 49 of the 50 states . . . saving Hawaii for last . . . to bad we can't drive there.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone here.
