Nice to meet you Kanga, I am a Ranger Guider from Canada. I am also a trainer. I have a daughter who is 2, and keeps me busy. I'm not camping this year as all my girls are going with the Brownie and Guide units they work with. Sounds like you have the process for the shirts right, do it just like tye dye but use bleach to take the color out.

Hey Elvajoyce
Glad to meet you. Our Brownies and Teddies are not allowed to camp, they have to stay over in a building. I do not have my residential permit or my campers permit so if we want to take our girls away we have to organise another licensed Guider to come with. And of course all the girls want to do is camp / go on Pack Holiday. Maybe I will have to try and do the testing this year for my permits.
Meeting tonight and we are doing fancy covers for notebooks with paint and stamps. Next week we are doing a reverse tiedye effect on T-shirts using bleach. I actually got the idea from a Canadian Guider magazine. Do you know what I am talking about cause I cannot find the magazine now and am just hoping I got the process right. The T-shirts are for a funrun at the end of the month which the Guides want to take part in. All 10km Hope they all finish. I think it will be good advertising for the movement. Girl Guides getting out in the community, getting fit and having fun
Have a great weekend

Kanga,
Welcome. Its nice to see Girl Guide. I was feeling lonely here. I am a Canadian Guider. I no longer have my own unit but am a memeber of Trefoil and training. I am headed to camp the end of this month as a cook and an extra pair of hands for a Spark (5 & 6 years olds) and Brownie camp. Several groups joining together.
