I am not a Girl Scouts of America leader but a member of WAGGS. A Girl Guide leader in Canada.
By the looks of your pictures, I am old enough to have been one of your leaders. I was a Brownie in 1965 and became a leader in 1980.

To answer your question, I got a BowFlex series 5 treadmill. It's pretty nice. I was informed that a treadclimber will burn 2x the calories, but you cannot run on the treadclimber, and my hubby wants to run (and I may eventually). I have been sick the last few days, so I haven't used it yet (and it was a workout just getting it into the house!)

Well I am counting calories-measuring everything. I try to get exercise here and there. I really want to get a treadmill. What kind are you getting? Oh and I have cut out all pop and only drink water, milk, and one cup of coffee a day. It seems to be working.

I have 2 semesters(including this one) left..that is 8 classes-so I hope to graduate in Dec.

I was thinking I would spread the word around my Service Unit that there is a support weight loss team here; hopefully that will get us some more members!

What is your plan for weight loss?
I am counting calories, drinkiong more water, and getting a treadmill today, and now that i'm back on campus I am also getting in more walking.

I am so glad you are going to school. It was one of the hardest things I did but the result is life lasting. I can always look back and be proud of what I did. So how much further do you have to go?

Well I am hoping we are first of many members to our group. Hopefully I will get our first challenge posted-something easy. Is there anything you might like to see? Thanks for your input.

HI!
I feel like we already have a connection b/c I was thinking before I saw this team "wonder if anyone has started a GS team or if I could start one" and I have been on Spark (on and off) for a little over a year and today was the first time I thought of it- then I go searching and see you started this team today! It's like we were meant to find each other!!
I have 2 children and never took the weight off from the first...I have battled with being overweight for 10 years- starting plans and stopping, starting and stopping, etc. Too many times to list!
I, too, want to be healthy and teach my children good habits so they won't have to struggle when they are older.
i am Girl Scout leader and in college to get my degree and hoping to get a job with the organization when I am done with school. I live near Nashville, TN. I am active with the troop and becoming more active in our Service Unit.
I hope we can be of encouragement to each other and gain some more members so we can challenge each other to make good choices, exercise, and of course, vent!

Hi everyone. I hope this is a great place for people who love Girl Scouting to come together in support of healthy living. As Girl Scouts, young and old, we are a family. What better way to support your fellow scouts than to encourage good eating and exercising.

I am a staff Girl Scout and I love my job. I have five boys and a busy life. My husband works full time and goes to school fulltime.

I was a Gold Award Girl Scout and loved every minute. The effect of scouting changed my life and those around me.
