Hi all, newbie here! I'm 26, female, 5'3" and 140lbs at the moment, with a goal weight of 125lbs. I started running a few years ago and took up distance running last fall. I ran my first 1/2 marathon in Las Vegas in December of 2010, then rolled my ankle on a patch of ice while out running in January and was out of commission until last week, when I FINALLY got fully cleared for fitness activities!

Right now, I'm following Jackie Warner's plan from her book "This is Why You're Fat," which calls for short, high-intensity interval workouts. I am hoping these interval workouts will help me lay some solid groundwork for my return to distance running. My goal is to get a 5K or a 10K under my belt by early October, and then to run the Vegas 1/2 again in December. Looking forward to being a part of the team!
