Hi all I lost 20lb on SP last year and have just come back after gaining 7 of them. I am new to running this year, just completed my first 10k on May 1st in 56:25.

Lose 5lb by Christmas 2010. (Acheived Nov 22nd)

Lose 7lb by Christmas

Maintain between Christmas and new yr

Lose 10lb by January 31st.

Lose 1 stone by February 28th

Lose 18.2lb (10% of weight lost) by March 31st

Lose 20lb by April 17th (holiday in Cyprus).

Lose 25lb by mid-June.

Lose 30lb by August 29th - 2nd wedding anniversary.

Hello! I'm new as well. Needed a step up from the couch to 5K crowd, but didn't want to join a team with thousands of members. Don't you love SP?! Something for everyone!

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I descipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, ... I myself should become disqualified!

Welcome ladies! We're so glad to have you here! I hope you can find some useful information about running and meet some others will similar goals and running plans. Mel, like you, I hate ST but I'll run until I'm blue in the face. Something about being out on the open road, free from everything else, just passing the time in peace...Ahhh. (:

I'm new too. I'm Lesley and have been running for a few years. I like doing 1/2 marathons, 10K and some 5K. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Hi my name is Melissa or Mel...i am 35 years old mom of two and a wife from Michigan..I started running about 3 years ago..and am interested in training for my first 10K now..i ran two 5K's this year..and just need to keep pushing..I really do love running I hate strength traiing but hoping this forum will keep me motivated and help me when I have rough days! Hoping to get to know you guys well!
