Nice to 'meet' you! Running a 5K next year is a very reasonable goal. You'll find lots of support here!

Hey everyone, I'm Lisa. I'm a newbie when it comes to running, I've given up on it several times because of shin splints and rolling ankles, but I decided to try again. The other day I ran (on the treadmill) for 2 miles without feeling like I 'had' to stop. I had a little bit of not so much pain, more like discomfort, but I forced myself to push through it and felt immensely proud of myself. I'm looking forward to hopefully sticking with it this time, and who knows, doing a 5K next year? Just wanted to say hi!
