Thanks for the replies and encouragement! I will check out babyfit.com. My shape hasn't changed at all yet but nausea keeps my heart rate from going over 135 :-)

First of all congrats Lucky66!!
I was a runner prior to my 1st pregnancy. My doctor gave me the thumbs up and told me that it was fine as long as I felt good. I kept running for awhile but I did stop (around 6th month) because I felt strange while running. You know your body best....if it doesn't feel right...then don't...but if you feel ok and your doctor says its ok then keep doing it.
My doctor told me that a woman that she treated ran straight through and after having the baby she was about to bounce back in no time at all.
Good luck!

I know a runner friend who ran all the way through her pregnancy. People looked at her funny of course and disapproved. She cut down and didn't train for a race or anything, but kept running. She got slower, but kept running. She got bigger and got heart burn a lot, but kept running. She said it felt okay and even though her doctor told her that she should probably cut it out around 7 months, the doctor was not a runner and couldn't give a good reason ( except precaution) so she did her own research and kept running ( slower, but a good 6 miles). Now, she also did aquajogging regularly and kept strength training!!!!
There is a sister page of Sparkpeople called Babyfit.com. People love it and I heard there are lot of people who run throughout their pregnancy that will give you great advice. It might be a good idea to switch over!
I always wondered if I would trust myself, since it's not just my life and would be worried about oxygen deprivation- don't mean to worry you here- just putting in my own 2 cents with regards to myself! ( I wasn't a runner when I got pregnant, so it didn't cross my mind, but I exercised and did everything I had been doing) But, other than that, I wouldn't mind the discomfort. I guess if you wear a HRM and make sure you stay within your HR zone, why not run?! I mean, as long as you have a "normal" pregnancy without complications of course. I think your baby might actually like the motion!
Go check out the Baby-site and let us know what you think!

I was hoping to revive my weekly Long Run Day, but now I'm pregnant. Please feel free to tell me if this should have its own team or topic. :-)

I was a road racer until a few years ago when I cut down to 20 miles/week + weights for fitness. Now I am 7 weeks pregnant, and jog/walk/run as much as I feel comfortable with (about 10-15 miles/week). Does or has anyone else run while pregnant? I would love to have input and hear others' experiences, and my husband and I have not yet shared that I'm pregnant with anyone. So I'm not discussing it with any running friends so far. In my area, running is very popular, and you see women on the road and treadmill with bumps of various sizes. My doctor is supportive. emoticon
