Congratulations on the wedding proposal! Sounds nice. :D Welcome to the team!

For family gatherings offer to bring a salad or just bring your own food. After three years of doing it for my own family events, my family now makes a special effort to cook for me.

I've been on the roller coaster trying to lose weight since I was 15 yrs old! My highest adult weight has reached 169 lbs. In November I found Dr. Fuhrman's Eat To Live and I am now a 90% Vegan. Dr Fuhrman refers to it as Nutritarian actually. I lost 8lbs in the first 8 days on this program so finally something that works! Now I have new motivation.... my wedding day. My fiance proposed on New Years Eve at midnight! :) We are getting married in May 2013 so I have a lot of time to reach my ultimate goal of 135. My biggest challenge is birthdays and holidays with my family. They all cook with butter and oil and cheese etc. I always leave the family events with an extra 3-6 lbs gained. It is frustrating when I am doing well and then I have start over again and again. My fiance is naturally thin and he likes to go out to dinner once a week. That is another challenge for the same obvious reasons. However, I have continued to lose weight and I am confident that with Dr. Fuhrman's plan I can continue to lose weight and reach my goal in time for the wedding.
