Thank you Eve!
I look forward to full time retirement. When I retired I had a seven year plan. The sixth year is rapidly coming to an end and it looks like the plan will need to be extended. I know I would have no troubles adjusting to retirement as I have so many interests and enjoy my 'down time'. Let's hope the economy improves and I can begin pursuing them!

My "name": I lived in Maine for a year and discovered snowshoeing. What a work out! There's nothing like walking on virgin snow out in the woods. Exhilarating!

I'm looking forward to being a member of the Team.

Smiles,
Colleen

Hi Colleen -welcome to Retired Seniors! Sure we'll accept you into our group, working or not. I'm curious how various people handle "retirement" and in your case, you went back to work in another venue. I did that myself a couple of times until I finally settled into an 'unworking retirement mode' not too long ago. The secret is to find the activity level you can live with. Not all of us are couch potatoes (Thank God) and different people are so different with different levels of activity. The ones who need to be on the go constantly find it the hardest to 'retire.' I am not one of those people who need to have "to do" things on my agenda every single day, but I realize a lot of you are.

I hope you'll be happy with our Team, and we welcome you with open arms! Thank you for posting. How did you come up with the name Ms Snowshoe? I'm sure there is a story there.

Welcome & Hugs, Eve (SCOTMAMA)

Trying to find the silver lining in all the clouds!

Hi!

Six years ago I hung up my wings at United Airlines and began a new career working at a local bank in the Commercial Lending Department and am really enjoying it. A new adventure!

It's been a challenge having my "wings clipped" and becoming an earthling.

Do any of you not believe your age? I'm going to be 64 next month and on some days feel 16, or 23 or 107!

I look forward to meeting you!

Colleen

PS/ I hope I qualify for the team even though I am back to work . . . . .

emoticon How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?
