I had a weight loss...I guess from not eating so much fast foods. I didn't have the best intake today.

Today was just a bad day. Ever just have one of those? Nothing went right and everything sort of snowballed.

I am going to make a change - I am going to try to eat oatmeal (the whole oats) most mornings of the week.

I agree, you just have to do what you can. Small changes can lead to big results if you stick to it and I think that is something we all need to remember when we get discouraged (I'm mostly talking to myself here!). Do what you can, adding fiber is a great idea and drinking more water is also good and easy place to start. Good luck!!!

Great idea...............see small steps.

You have heard of the old saying..."How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time".

Love your positive thoughts, keep it up!

Watching salt intake also trying not to buy foods that have high fructose corn syrup, sugar, rice syrup, corn syrup, fructose, sucrose etc. in the first three ingredients.

No foods that have more than 3 ingredients that I can not pronounce.

If an item has more than 10 ingredients I put it on the Do Not Buy List as it is too processed.

Yeah, it would be doable. I want to increase the fiber in my diet because I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. When I had to eat alot of fiber before due to constipation issues in the past, I felt great.

I think increasing fiber is going to be another goal for me.

Themoreloving1. It's o.k. to be scared, but your have to move....it's just one foot in front of the other. Honest I bet if you asked on the message boards if anyone else feels this way, people would say yes!
We human's are creatures of habit and to change is hard but you know that things can't go on this way. Perhaps you could make one small change a week and build each week on that. You say that you eat take out food alot. How about you cut it down by one meal this week, could that be doable for you?

I am seriously demotivated today. I am fairly new to this, though I have fallen off diets before. I had some issues that needed to be resolved and worked through. I think I am ready, but I am scared.

I have been tracking all of my food this past week and I eat between 2000-3000 calories each day. I am going to have to really make some serious changes. It's overwhelming.

I've relied on take out food so much. emoticon

You will find lots of support and motivation here. We are all on the journey of getting healthier.

It sounds from your posting that you have worked very hard towards your goal of an education so you can work in a field that has some pleasure or satisfaction for you. Don't stop yourself now just when you can enjoy the rewards you have worked so hard for because you are uncomfortable in your body. Grab your life by two hands and get on top of what you need to do to enjoy all the aspects of your life!!!!

You have to plan. Plan your food, pack it and take it with you if you can't trust yourself to order healthy in a fast food rest. Plan to take an extra 10 mins to get to school/work and park and walk. Take any moment you can for yourself to plan and move.

Follow a simple healthy food plan and move as much as you can. We will be here for you with all the support that we can. I hope to see you on the message boards and hear how things are going for you.

Hi,
My weight really ballooned up due to stress while in professional/grad school. I have just steadily increased and I am afraid I will not be able to do my demanding job because of my weight.

I have subsisted on fast food for nearly 8 years. It has to stop.

I need support and help!
