I am starting again too. I lost 30 lbs with the help Spark People and Curves. I know I would not have kept it up without SP. I plateaued in December and took some time off at xmas. Then my son moved back home, this caused huge stress in my life, I tried to continue, I drop a large sum of money of a month of boot camp, but I work full time and was doing a play in my spare time, so I just gave up in March.

My son moved out again 12 days ago, so I restarted on Monday after a week of rest !

Baby steps to get started is what it takes Tonya at first. Don't give up. During my 'break' I did put 3 lbs back on, so I am happy that I managed to 'maintain' somewhat, so I know that the weight is off for good !

NOTHING tastes as good as thin feels - Nothing changes if nothing changes

emoticon back, Tonya! Sorry to hear that things didn't work for you with other attempts; but, very happy for you that you've made the decision to restart here. I think SparkPeople is the best thing going to give us the tools and support we need to improve our fitness and lose weight. I do hope you find the right combination of things that works for you. Working out like you've already started is an excellent beginning!

HELLO EVERYONE,

MY NAME IS TONYA AND I AM STARTING AGAIN. I JOINED SP A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO AND I FELL OFF. DOING MANY THINGS TO TRY TO LOOSE WEIGHT BUT NOTHING WAS WORKING OR MAYBE I WASNT WORKING. IM A MOTHER OF TWO, THREE IF YOU COUNT MY HUSBAND. I WORK ON THE WEEKENDS AND AT HOME DURING THE WEEK. I CAN BE AN EMOTIONAL EATER AND GET TOGETHER WITH FRIENDS OFTEN. JUST STARTED WORKING OUT ABOUT 4-5 DAYS A WEEK. I HAD BEEN WORKING OUT FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND DECIDING ON WHAT PLAN TO GO ON ( SOUTH BEACH, MEDITERAINIAN DIET), BUT WHEN I SAW THE AMAZING STORY ON THE GMA SHOW WITH THE DOCTOR WHO LOST 140LBS IS DECIDED TO GET BACK WITH SP. WISH ME LUCK I NEED IT
