Well for the first time in my life I ate something completely different from my guys. What I was planning on having, well lets just say the numbers were adding up way too quick, so changed it to a salad with peppers, chicken and asparagus with a sprinkling of cheese.

Once you have the tools, I guess they are right in saying you make better choices.

I'll keep plugging away like this in the meantime.

Waiting to hear about your update!

Great! I'm sorry that I bombarded you with questions. I'm thinking and typing way too fast, today. I'm excited today for some reason. Well, I know why...my job had our biggest loser weigh-in today and my team is in the lead...yeah! I can hardly do my job. I am so excited. I have to be careful not to go home and celebrate with food, though. That's something that I do all the time. It's a pit that I know is there, but I still fall into it.

I'll let you know tomorrow, if I avoided it. I look forward to your update, as well.

God bless,
Marilyn

Yes I have tried the smaller plate, but I guess it isn't small enough. No I don't go back for seconds, there is just three of us in the family so I don't cook huge portions.

Measuring and counting is in my vocabulary but find it very hard to practice.

But I am determined and will be pulling out the scale and calculator for dinner tonight.

Will update tomorrow as to how it goes.

Thanks for the encouraging words.

Hi there,
Good going with the breakfast and lunch. Are you eating from a saucer or smaller plate? That really helps me. Are you eating slowly and without TV or other distractions? Are you going back for seconds or just putting too much on your plate to begin with? Are you measuring everything you put on your plate?

My family thinks I've completely lost it. I count out my croutons (10), and measure out 2 tbsp. of fat free dressing for my salads. :) They say, "Mom, it's fat free." But, the calories add up.

You'll get dinner under control. You're well on your way. Congrats!

God bless,
Marilyn

This is my second day looking around the site and found out that my main problem is dinner. My breakfast and lunch everyday is right on track with calories, carbs, protein, etc.

At dinner I am not necessarily starving but no matter what I make for dinner, I eat and most times eat too much of it. I love to eat, and really have a hard time with portion control.

Any hints out there for me?
