Hi Marsha!! Not sure about the water, sounds like a good idea, but i never had a problem drinking water, its all i ever really drank, but my mom would splash some juice in her water quite ofter and it works good for her.

Congrats on making use of the SP tools and being in range all week!

I could see how the weak orange juice trick would work... but it's not something that I would personally do. I am a water drinker - so for me, drinking a gallon+ of plain water a day is no problem... and I'm much rather EAT my calories than DRINK them. If you're having 3 meals and 3 snacks a day, you're going to keep your blood sugar more constant and avoid cravings anyway.

I've been at SparkPeople for a while, but never posted. I'm getting serious this time. I have actually recorded everything I ate this week and stayed in the range in every area.

I recently talked to a girl that works at the hospital. They have been attending classes with a nutritionist that recommended putting 1 can of orange juice concentrate into a gallon of water--makes very weak orange juice--flavored water. She said that if you sipped on it all day, your blood sugar would stay more constant and you would avoid cravings throughout the day. What do you guys think about this?
