Hello Sue! Welcome to Spark People!

I am going to move your post to the "Introduce Yourself" thread to be sure it doesn't get missed. To view that thread and follow it, click on the post, then click on the button to "subscribe to this discussion."

The best advice I have for you right now is to follow the Fast Break strategies that will be coming in your email every couple of days for the next 2 weeks. They will help you get used to using the tools available on the site and learn your way around. From the Fast Break you will begin to make small changes (baby steps!) that will eventually become healthy habits you will have for the rest of your life. Best wishes for reaching your goals!

M.Jaye

Hi, Dani!
Yup, I know how tough it is to quit. My problem has always been restarting! I've been a "seasonal" smoker for probably 6 or 7 years, starting in the spring when it's nice outside, and quitting in the fall around Sept 1st, usually. But this last year was kinda different, and I quit on May 5, and didn't smoke until Sept, and then finally quit again on Dec.31 I want this to be my last time quitting!

welcome! Congratulations on what you have accomplished so far. Quitting smoking is awesome. It's something I'm just not ready to do yet. Please don't take away my food, and my smokes at the same time. LOL.
Good luck,
Dani

Greetings!
Just introducing myself: I just started on Friday, I think it was, and this is a great site! I've got high motivation and intend to keep it going. I lost 30 pounds last year, but gained back 10 over the holidays. I quit smoking (for good this time, Honest!) on Dec. 31, and I am going to reach my goal weight by the end of this year! Talk to ya all again soon!
