Glad you joined us. Congrats on loosing 100 lbs!

I think everyone reaches plateau like you have whether we are loosing 100 or 10 lbs! The body want to just sit there. Are you taking other measurements besides just weight. Sometimes the scale doesn't tell the whole story. But most of all, don't get discouraged! and don't quit. Sooner or later changes will start to happen. I like the rest of the advice given here. We have all hit these times and different things work at different times but most of all, keep checking in for support!

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in (me) will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Welcome Phaedra to our team and many congrats for your progress so far.
Are you using the food tracker here on SparkPeople? That will certainly give you an idea of suggested calories and divides it into the required protien, fat, carbs etc. You may be falling short somewhere that will kick start your weight loss again.
Wishing you all success....

WOW! Congratulations first of all I'm losing that weight! I would probably add a little more protein than what you are eating now and step up the exercise a bit maybe add an extra 10 minutes to your routine or exercise twice a day stepping it up a little bit-changing the routine, maybe add a little heavier weights!

Barbara .....that's what my friends call me! Never cared for the name Barb.

Make it a blessed and healthy day! IT IS YOUR CHOICE!

Remember how special you are and how you are soooooo worth it to be healthy and fit!!

Hi PearHeart
It's hard to know without more info to go on.
Sounds like you are doing everything right.
I would suggest looking for smart switches in you meal plan to eliminate a few calories.
Also try mixing up what ever you do for exercise. So if you are a bicycle rider, try walking or jogging, if you are a swimmer try running. If you use an elliptical try a different model or the treadmill on an incline mode.
My guess is your body might just be saying it needs a few weeks to catch up with it's new size.
Great to see you here.
Seems team chat is in the weight loss tips forum but we do have a forum I try to get moving up above too.
I will try and check by your sparkpage.

Hello, I'm new to the group but I'm hoping to find some answers here. I have lost 104 pounds so far and I am very happy about it but now its slowing down. I still have at least another 75 I need to lose! So its far from over! I'm wondering if anyone else has faced similar issues and did you change your diet any to get the weight loss to continue? I have ate 5-6 times a day I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and healthy snacks between. Now I'm wondering if I need to eat less or cut out carbs or what should I do! Summer is approaching and I don't want to get my swimsuit yet till I've lost 20 pounds. Any suggestions or pointers? emoticon
