Hi, Catherine, and welcome!
Well, your body may be going through an adjustment period, as you've probably been trying to balance your caloric intake and burn rate. Not to worry, it happens. So, you need to add some variety into your training, perhaps some more speed training/intervals, and perhaps some strength training.
Start with a 5K to get your baseline. Then progress to the 10K. Be patient while you build your base of miles, strength and endurance.
Alysia :)
