Well you can do it ALL if you want to! My oldest daughter (just 23 y/o) is pregnant with #2, her first is turning 2 this month. She has 3 horses of her own to care for, including a colt who turns one in February. She gives dressage and harness lessons, and trains horses at the stable she boards at. She also just finished school for her LPN degree last January09, is working full-time, and is in the Air Force Reserves, so does her 1 weekend/month duty as well. And did I mention she and her DH are stationed in New Mexico, and we (as well as his parents) all live in Washington State - so they have no family close to count on. An active life is a life well-lived! Needless to say, she was like you were pre-pregnancy - fit and active, healthy lifestyle. She's never been one to sit around, and always had a million things going. So she had no problem losing the baby weight because she got right back into her active life. I'm sure you will be plenty busy too, and your healthy habits will help that weight come right off.

Thank you Kathleen! Yes, she is my first, and probably last as I have a young horse who needs my attention as well. He will go into training in March so I will be riding him next summer, with any luck : )

Hi Desiree! Congrats on your new bundle of joy! Is this your first? Just remember to eat healthy, log your food and make sure you are getting enough nutrition, especially if you are breast-feeding! I'm sure that you will be able to sensibly drop that weight and everyone here will help keep you inspired! Best of luck!
Kathleen

Hi everyone! My name is Desiree. I am a new mom of a beautiful 5 week old baby girl and I am desparate (and determined!) to lose every single one of the pounds I gained during my pregnancy. Being that I am BEYOND tired (Boy, is it TRUE that you don't get much sleep with a newborn!) as well as a little overwhelmed at the realization of JUST how much weight I gained (31 lbs!), I could really use some extra help getting motivated. Wish me luck on my journey to get my body back! : )
