Enjoy yourself and have fun at it too.

If you tell God no because He won't explain the reason He wants you to do something, you are actually hindering His blessing. But when you say yes to Him, all of heaven opens to pour out His goodness and reward your obedience. What matters more than material blessings are the things He is teaching us in our spirit.

That is wonderful. God certainly does answer our prayers and it is awesome when someone tells us about incidents such as this! I hope that Gail turns out to be such a blessing as far as a tenant for you & your DH.

We will miss you on your Spark break but look forward to hearing from you again. emoticon

I will be taking a partial Spark Break the month of August. I will not have regular access to a bath scale or Internet. I will check in as I have the opportunity.

I have a praise report. We had a vacant rental we needed to get rented. People who had applied did not pass the credit check, did not have steady work, or poor rental history. It was necessary to run applications of whomever applied and treat each one equally the same.

Thursday I prayed that we would find exactly the right tenant for the property. I told the Lord we only needed one good tenant (I really meant one family). I also asked for a tenant like the one we put in our last rental. I did not know my husband was in the family room praying a similar prayer.

That after noon a lady called saying she had just seen the outside of the rental and wanted to rent it. Her voice was so joyful, I didn't dare set my expectations too high. She is a single school teacher who has been living with her parents and wanted to have her own space before school starts.

God moves fast. She looked at the inside, liked the house, and filled out the application which I immediately faxed to the Credit Bureau. Within six hours we had the report back. I typed the lease, we met at the house Friday evening and signed the paperwork, did a walk through inspection, and I helped her unload some boxes from her car.

As we stood outside to leave, I told her about our prayers the day before. God does have a sense of humour. Both tenants are named Gail!

Praise the Lord! He is never late. I try to never miss an opportunity to give a testimony. At least she knows where we stand.
