Just back here myself. Began with Spark in 2009 then life "got complicated" with aunt, Mom and Step-Dad all dying within a 3 month period. Business hubby and I operate from home began to have economic related challenges and so he began to drive cab to supplement our income. October 11 last year that came to a "crashing halt" as a young woman pulled out in front of him. Hospitalized for 8 weeks and still in wheelchair with therapy 3X a week life is just settling into new normal. My weight hit an all time high of 245 back in November then after a flareup with gout I am now down to 219 back to writing my two local columns and developing outlines for a spiritual and an artist/writers retreat with a friend.
So glad to be here and grateful for all the blessings in my life.

emoticon DREWCHIX and emoticon back to SparkPeople and the team...Nice to have you with us on the journey to a healthier lifestyle.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

I've just re-started as well - in terms of watching my portion sizes and upping my exercise, anyway. I sort of checked in on Spark now and then over the winter. And I only joined this team for the first time a day or two ago. But now that colour is returning to the dead planet, things should be easier, right?

He was a tubby little chap who looked as if he had been poured into his clothes and had forgotten to say "when!"

Hello everyone!
3rd year college student here, working towards that B.S. in Computer Science with a specialization in Computer Audio/Music. I had signed up a bit ago, but never did anything on the website and ended up deleting it, because it was making me feel guilty. :D

This last quarter was kind of rough, and I realized I need to start prioritizing my health/fitness as much as I do my classes! So I chose to try Sparkpeople again - I like that here, you do little things to make a big change.
And this time, I swear to not delete my page, even if I lose my pace for a few weeks. :D
