Welcome. Dear Sonia we (mean the addicted to food) should try to switch our addiction to the not health vulnerable foods like vegs and some fruit; limit meat to the lighter versions as fish and chicken... Very difficult for me who am addicted to pork... But we must try...

Glad you joined us here at SparkPeople. Fast food is so convenient but a killer for the weight. Check out some of the recipes here to start cooking dinner etc. Just the other night I made the smothered chicken recipe, brown rice and broccoli. The meal was ready and on the table in 45 minutes. I will cook a healthy dinner and take leftovers for lunch the next day.
I always have fresh fruit out and that is what I snack on.

well you've come to the right place. you've joined a great team who are here to help you in your health journey.

everyones chemistry is different. people who can eat anything and not gain weight have no concept of what we go through. so try this,


first throw out all the junk food in your house.

then Use the food tracker. input everything that goes into your mouth. stay within your calorie range. watch portion size, keep healthy snacks on hand. apple, celery, etc. exercise. you must burn more calories than you eat.

exercising is key. I hope this helps.

I am Sonia, a mother of four year old. I need to change my fast food lifestyle and eat more healthy foods. I want to lose weight for myself and set a good example for my child and family.
