I just joined Spark and thought, wait I can't be the only lesbian here. Goddess bless search engines!

I'm 55, in a long-term committed relationship. We've both had breast cancer and my partner had a bilateral mastectomy last June. So we are all out of later and need to get healthy and lose this weight.

I was looking for an online calorie counter and found Spark People.

I need to lose 49 pounds (which is a lot like 50 lbs). I'm not sure when I became "recliner girl" with clothes from LL Bean. I used to be an outrageous femme!

I'm glad to see a "political" board as I'm very progressive in my world views (and slightly crushed out on Rachel Maddow).

I'm really looking for support and a place to be accountable in this process.

This is the last time I'm losing this weight.
