I don't feel that I'm all that great with this yet, but I think I have a good handle on some of these! So yeah, clean eating is eating foods as close to their natural state as you can, avoiding added/excess sugar and salt. I've completely omitted sugar, we use Stevia for our sweetener needs. Powered for baking, liquid for coffee. We use unsweetened vanilla almond milk, but almond milk, coconut, rice milks are all ok. If I buy dairy, It's either organic or raw (we live in farm country, lots of raw options!) Eggs should be organic, free range. Try to find a farmer or someone with chickens in their yard to buy these, you'd be surprised where you can find them! Bread, if you can find a clean whole wheat bread, that's fine (I'm having a hard time finding it myself!), or a great choice is Ezekial sprouted bread. I have found my family using a lot less bread, so I'm fine spending a little extra. Oil, cold pressed EVOO. Keep an eye out for a olive oil sprayer to replace Pam, I got one for under $10 at Wegmans. Cereal...I get my kids Cascadian (sp?) purely O's and some other cereals they make. We have mainly switched to oatmeal and eggs for breakfast! I used to love maple brown sugar me know, and I'll let you know how I make my oatmeal. Tastes very similar! Check the ingredient label on trips cuts. I'd say probably not based on what I've seen the last few months, but you never know! I try to keep my spending minimal; it can be done! My battery is almost dead, but I can post more later!

Megan... mama to 2 sweet girls; finally getting healthy! :D

Hey! So I am 35yrs old, about 5 foot, and near 175 lbs. I need to loose some weight,I watched a video the other day called hungry for change, and It really got me thinking! I want to start to clean eat,but I dont really know much of what i need to do. I know you go as natural as you can,but what kind of milk, eggs, butter, bread, oil should i be looking for? And for sugar should i use stevia? What about cereals??? are there any good kinds?? Also we really like triscuits...are those ok? And I am very poor,i do not get any assistance,so going organic is costly, can you give me any tips on how to eat clean with out going broke!
