I have never heard of a 'natural' diabetic. That's fascinating! If I fast and don't take any insulin I am over 350 in a few hours. Found that out when I went for a PET scan and they told me not to take any insulin. It just proved to them that I create absolutely no basal insulin whatsoever!
The next day I went back with my pump on, giving my basal amounts, and did fine.

This site is great I like what I have explored so far. Some things were a bit confusing but got easy once I figured out how it all works LOL!

Since '79?! Wow it is great to come in contact with another person who has had it for so long!

I am going on 36 years of age this year in May and found out that I had diabetes at age 6 type 1 runs a muck down my father's side of the family.

I have been a natural type 1 for about 4 years now relying on diet, exercise, herbs and supplements many people say it's hogwash and not possible but it is!
Most of the time I have lower than I want sugar levels with it sticking mainly in the 97 -115 range and that is even with a weekly treat of a peanut butter cookie!

Insulin and the depo shot made me gain weight and the more weight I gained the less healthy I felt physically and mentally so I took that step to fix that problem and went natural including ditching the birth control shot.
Four years ago I was a size 26 Last August a size 18 March I am a proud size 12 with 25 pounds I'm currently working on ditching. Currently 160 lbs wanting to reach 135 lbs.

Weight loss and being a type 1 is the most hardest journey I have EVER been on ! Controlling my diabetes naturally .. one of the easiest and most fulfilling journeys!

In a world where you can be anything.. be yourself!
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams!
Be the change you wish you see in this world!

Ah crap! I wrote all that then edited to fix a spelling error and it disappeared.

Not going to retype all that back out so I'll just say hey everyone!
