You're posting in the Type 1 Diabetes group.

There's another group called Managing Diabetes and if you do a search, you may also find other groups more geared to a type 2 diagnosis.

I know price-wise, Walmart has their own brand of meters and strips, I think they may be called Reli-on. I've heard lots of people but from sources like Ebay. Make sure to ask your doctor if they can provide samples; they're usually given meter/start-up kits for newly diagnosed folks.

Good luck!

Hi there. I am searching for some information and guidence from others with type 2. I was just diagnosed today with it. Any information or where is good to get info would be helpful. Also what meters and strips are the cheapest and are good at the same time? I have no insurance and dont know where to begin. Thanks for all of your help in advance.
