Thanks for the reminder and the encouragement. I find myself struggling everyday to keep it together so maybe by adding a positive spin on things I could pump myself up to just keep moving forward. Thanks all.

Hi B, welcome!
"Isn't always easy" is an understatement! Totally manageable isn't always something I'm excited about either, but sometimes I just need a reminder to thank my lucky stars that I DID get something manageable, and that for the most part I get to decide how much effort I want to put into it. Mileage may vary for sure, and I swear no two days are the same, but for the most part I get to decide if I'm going to do well or not.
I've found a lot of good resources on SP, especially this group! Sometimes it just helps to know that there's a hundred other people in the same boat...
Nice to have you aboard!
Good luck with your goals!

You are definitely right about it horrible but I guess we just need to remain looking at the upside. It's funny that you say how hard it is to juggle diabetes, kids, school, work, and loosing weight. I am glad you found me I look forward to talking with you soon.

Welcome! I've been diabetic for 22 years. Yes, it still sucks, but thankfully it IS manageable. The hardest part for me right now is balancing my time to take care of myself as well as my kids, home, work demands, etc. I'm a teacher getting ready to start the school year, and I'm stressing big time about it. It's so hard to do it all! Losing weight as a diabetic is so much more challenging than it is for a "normal" person. The one thing I keep reminding myself is that I have to take care of myself for my family. I'd be happy to chat anytime!

Welcome! I've been type 1 since 1996. I always thank my lucky stars that I've got something manageable; it actually fits my Type A personality.
