I stumbled across the Alternate Day Diet while browsing on my Kindle and read up on it online. This feels like it could be right for me.
I won't go into the details of my past failed attempts because I don't want to bring the negativity into my new mindset.
So let's see, what else can I tell y'all about?
I am 25, full time student, full time graphic designer with 65 lbs to lose. I love my family, my boyfriend, our dogs, and good books. I used to like to work out but now that my body doesn't respond the way it used to, I get discouraged easily so I am starting out slowly with fun stuff like yoga and dance.
I am doing this diet with my mom so I am excited to have her support and see her success. We are starting tomorrow because I didn't have time to get to the grocery store last night.
My plan is to use the Atkins or Slim Fast shakes on Down Days and to try my best to eat intuitively on Up Days, while being mindful of my calorie count.
According to the website, My up days are 1992 and my down days are 398, but I may round up to 500 depending on how I feel.
Any advice for a newbie?
Thanks :o)
