Hi and welcome to the team emoticon

Smile .... it makes people wonder what you're up to ;-)

It is far easier to MAKE time to exercise than it is to FIND time to exercise. You want results???? MAKE it happen.

Keep trying - you CAN do it - believe in yourself!

Wecome Jennifer... I struggled also but now am doing great! Be honest with yourself...set short term goals to set yourself up for success... Start small so you don't break them... Promise yourself to do it! When we break promises to ourselves we set ourselves up to fail.. Don't just say tomorrow you will do better...set a goal just for tomorrow and be specific... Example: "Just for today, I will not eat to fill my emotions" Do it one day at a time...one promise at a time..soon you will feel good about yourself!! emoticon

BBO, welcome! I've realized that the awful thoughts after a binge were just paired with the lousy feelings from the food I can't quickly get rid of the overeating feelings, but I have been able to get better at ignoring self-critical thoughts and that has helped! The mean thinking never worked to stop me the next time. Sounds like you get it, too.

I'm Jennifer, 32, living in Alabama. I'm struggled with binge and emotional eating most of my life. Last night to this morning was another episode. I have a journal I write in, but I think it's important for me to be open and honest with my emotions and issues because of instead of giving them a voice, I eat to suppress them. Of course there, is still some anonymity posting here, but it's a step in the right direction. I don't want to hide anymore and I acknowledge that I need and want some help and support.

I always say tomorrow I'll do better, that it will be a clean slate. But it has to start now. I won't let a binge ruin my day or keep me from doing better and moving on until hours afterwards.
