Yeah, I want to know how my player remembers where I left off! Even if some other disk has been in in between. Magic I say!

LOL, that's funny about the DVD player. I feel for you. I got mine for like $30 at Walmart. It's a Magnavox and works pretty well considering the price.

Sadly, I think my DVD player was one of the first ones that came to the West on a covered wagon. The brand is GO.VIDEO, which, yanno, is top notch and still so very known today. :|

My DVD player remembers where I left off on a disc if I just turn it off without stopping the DVD and it's only been a day or two. I just turn it back on by pressing play and it starts up where I left off. Otherwise I'd be rewatching episodes all the time to figure out where I was at the last time.

Blergh for physical discs! Streaming Netflix has made me quite lazy when it comes to physical discs, as it figures out for me where I left off, even if I turn it off part way through an episode! Ah, the sacrifices we make, I suppose!

They have the physical disks at Netflix, that's how I've been watching SGU.

I think I caught the first episode of Universe right before it dropped off of Netflix. Now, it seems as if you can't find any of them anywhere to stream with a membership, unless someone knows something I don't?

Aubrey, congrats on your graduation! You deserve a geek break!

I was such a huge SG-1 fan, I didn't watch Atlantis until last year (it was OK, didn't hate it but wasn't crazy about it). Finally started watching SGU (I'm only through the first season). Very different (probably a good thing) so you have to take it on it's own terms, but it's really good.

Early congratulations!

I wish I had an extra monitor. That would make life so much easier. I've got all the series (except SGU) on DVD and it would play so much better on my laptop than on my TV (which is set too high so everything looks really dark from this angle). Sigh.

Last year (starting like in April, I think) I did a super mega sci-fi rewatch starting with SG-1. Then Atlantis, Farscape, Buffy, Angel, and Firefly. Those are all the shows I have fully on DVD. It was epic.

Dual monitors have become a necessity in my life, too.

I hooked up a second monitor so that I could stream Netflix while doing Important Stuff on my main monitor, though it's not always conducive to knowing all of what is happening on Netflix, nor concentrating fully on homework. Great for gaming, though!

The joys of Netflix make it so much easier! Stargates, Dr. Who, and a bunch of other wonderful worlds.

Greetings, my name is Aubrey and I graduate nursing school exactly two weeks from tonight! This is going to give me the opportunity to do a lot of things that I have been meaning to do, but had never gotten around to, such as rewatching all of SG1 and watching Atlantis/Universe for the first time. How did I spend my summer vacation? Nerding out, of course.
