I'm doing pretty well. I had a somewhat discouraging gain this week, but aside from the scale, everything seems to point to me doing really well.

I'm frustrated by my inability to take the first action step in stage 2. I already have an excellent set of measuring spoons, and one measuring cup. I could do with more, but I can get by with just the one. What I /really/ need is a kitchen scale. I'm just too broke to go out and get one--even the really cheap ones! Hopefully in a couple weeks when 1, my rent check will have cleared and 2, my temp to hire job will hopefully, well, /hire/ me, and I'll be making a bit more than I am as a temp.

I haven't been doing well. I was motivated for the first week, but then I completely fell off the wagon. I started exercising yesterday and did again today, so at least its a start. Baby steps forward!

Made a little progress at first but then I've had some tough life complications which was a good excuse to let the diet slip. Didn't blow it but kinda tabled off for a while. Life is almost back to normal now so I should be able to tackle it again.

I do really well during the week, then I fall into my own weekend free-for-all trap. :P Today's article about avoiding this was well received. Common sense--PLAN AHEAD!

I lost 2 pounds and keep playing back and forth with it, giving myself the excuse that I'm "s l o w l y" getting used to this new lifestyle. 3 weeks is long enough to change my commitment areas.

Stepping up on the exercise--pronto. :)

I have not been as gungho as I thought I would be-or is that just self expectations. I am doing the excercise regularly at the gym and that has been no problem. I do track my foods but not always make the right choices, even though I know. So I am thinking of the small changes I have made and banking that as I keep accumulating small changes I will get there. excercising, tracking, getting my water, eating more veggies than before but not yet enough and realizing I don't always have to have the same meal as my family-or I can add a salad and have a little of something like pizza.

See you already are getting the bug. Go back tomorrow and pretty soon it will be a habit. Make some small goals for yourself. What are you having the hardest time doing? Is it logging food, exercise, eating the right things? What ever it may be just make one small goal about it and I think you will be surprised what a change it will make. You achieve that goal and make another and then another etc. Pretty soon you are down 20 pounds and you don't know where the time went.

I'm really having a hard time getting started. I keep saying I'm going to do this...but well, I'm full of excuses. I did go to the gym yesterday even though I really didn't want to. So, I am happy about that...and kind of excited to go back tomorrow! emoticon

I'm doing pretty good. Had a rough weekend but I pulled through it. In my mind I'm beginning to measure the pounds I lost rather than the ones I want to lose. Do you know what one pound of fat looks like? Its pretty gross! emoticon

Today I had to go to the pharmacy. Rather than driving like I usually do, I walked! It certainly took a lot longer, but I saved gas and got some great exercise as well, both of which made me feel great!

You are right 5 good days are better than 7 bad days. As you keep going you will find those bad days are less and less. When I am bad now it is nothing like I used to be. So great job and pat yourself on the back. emoticon

It seems that I get off track every weekend. I always have to get back on track on Mondays! But I figure that 5 really good days is better than 7 really bad days. I have lost 6 lbs in the last 2 weeks I've been on SP, and I am quite proud of that! Only 23 lbs to go!

That's the great part, if you get off track just get back on. Don't worry about the past, but look to the future.

Everyone sounds like they are doing well. How do you feel after these few weeks? Even if you haven't lost any weight don't you just feel better. Your body is saying thank you for the healthy food and exercise. Keep up the good work. :)

I've been logging my foods every day and pretty much shuddering every time I do it. I love food! I've been trying to convince myself that it is a momentary pleasure that doesn't last past the meal, but I haven't been very successful with that, LOL.

Despite my current inability to stay within the recommended calories, I DID lose 3 pounds and 3 inches since I started on October 5th. YAY! emoticon

I've done really well with walking almost every day. I am really enjoying the fresh air and the weather was really nice today for a change. I better savor it while I can because the rain will start up soon again!

I lost 2.5lbs this week. I weighed myself everyday and fluctuated between 181 and 185, but seemed to settle at 182.5 today. I haven't taken measurements yet. I'm thinking about starting to do it.

I'm happy that I logged my food everyday this week, even when I got a little off track. I have a tendency to stop logging my food when I eat badly.

I did okay exersize wise. I gave myself a 100 day challenge to do 10 minutes of sit ups a day and I have done that everyday so far except today and the day is not over yet! I walk a lot at least 10 hours a week. I am trying to start out slowly and some more intense exersize to my routine. This week I want to add one day of jogging.

I splurged last night. My husband I and went to a party for a couple of his friends from work. Rum and Coke, buttery nipple shot, and 3 slices of pizza!!! Went over my calories for the day, but I did have 3 hrs of pushing the shopping cart around and was really that hungery!!! emoticon

Other than I am a binge eater who fell off the wagon one night, I am doing pretty good. Saw inches and lbs lost my first week. Haven't been on the scale yet this week, but hoping for more of the same!! emoticon

I did great last week, but this week not as good. I did work out every day, and my eating was pretty good till last night. I didn't have a chance to eat dinner till LATE and then I just grabbed a couple slices of pizza. And then today I didn't do any cardio. I'm sure there will be no pounds lost this week.

Doing great so far! I've lost about 6 pounds. I love the food tracker--when I'm faced with fattening food I think of having to go home and enter it into the tracker! LOL
Today was my son's 3rd birthday party, and I did have a slice of cake. BUT it was a teeny tiny slice and I 'saved up' for it.

I'm doing okay. I'm only a few week's young. I have to say I find the meal plans are helping me a lot. The food tracker is a great way of keeping us within our nutrient guidelines.

Have a good day everyone!!!

I was excited to find this "class team" forum. It is good for me to see the success of other people who started when I did. I am great at making excuses and saying things like:

"I PACING MYSELF"

"I'm just getting started"

"I'm sure the weight will start coming off soon."

I am sure that many, if not most of you will lose faster nd more consistently than I will, and I am glad to be in your company. So PLEASE email me with your successes. I need to read success stories. They keep me going.
