Welcome, Kate!

This time, work to change that reward=food connection. Start a list of non-food rewards. I'm sure you'll find lots of ideas here on SparkPeople.

Great that team-members are already stepping in with support and suggestions. WOOHOO, team!

Glad you came back. You do have to make a change to be able to lose the weight you wish to. It's not easy but it is worth it. Do you exercise? It's a great way to get away from food. Be sure to track your food in the nutrition tracker. It really surprised be when I first started. You can do this.

Hi Everyone!
I'm starting Sparkpeople again for the 2nd time. The first time, I just don't think I was ready. My name is Kate, I'm 29, and have a 7 month old daughter. I work part-time 2 nights a week, but am home with my baby girl the rest of the time.

I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. I can remember being around 7 or 8 years old at the pool and being called fat, so it's been a part of my life for quite a while. I'm not significantly overweight, but I am heavier than I should be by about 20 pounds. I always have been on the heavier side.

My main problem is my eating habits. I love food and it consumes my thoughts pretty much around the clock. I am always planning what I am going to eat next. I also eat when I am bored, sad, angry, or happy about something. Food was always a reward for me. I know what foods and how much I should be eating (I could probably be a nutritionist), however I choose to not follow what I should do. I am hoping to change how I view food and control what and how much of it I eat.

I have done WW a few times and lost some weight, but after a while it just crept back on. I'm hoping the motivation of others here at Sparkpeople and wanting to be the best mom I can be for my daughter will keep me on track and help change my life for the better!

Good luck everyone!
