I think that might refer to a particular brand of popcorn or whatever, and the serving size would be one serving as printed on the nutritional label on the package.

This thread is meant to introduce the team leaders. You might try clicking COMMUNITY (at the top in red) then MESSAGE BOARDS and posting your question there under the tech forum or nutrition forum.

Thanks,

Kara

Hello Everyone! Josh, SP has a sister site called babyfit. Maybe your wife can also join them. They're really great. Like SP, BF has a mountain of information regarding trying to conceive, pregnancy and parenting! They also have info on healthy weight gain during pregnancy. Good luck and congrats!!!

Hi everyone, I just posted in the newcomers section, but I wanted to check out the leaders! I think having leaders is a super idea. I've read about you all, and I think all of you are inspiring. I hope to be in touch with you along the way! emoticon

Hi everyone! I'm Elizabeth. I live in Las Vegas with my husband of 5.5 years. We have 2 boys... a 3-year-old and a 3-month-old. I'm a pound away from my pre-pregnancy weight but I want to lose so much more than that. I've been on Weight Watchers since July, which was the plan I used after my first pregnancy too... but I am so tired of "calculating" before I eat! It makes me think about food way too much. My husband has done so awesome on SP so I decided to join him!

Welcome to the team. Josh your wife shouldn't diet if she is pregnant. Be sure she talks with her Dr. before changing anything. Good luck to all of you. This is a great place to lose weight and to get healthy.

I actually had this 64oz cup before. I bought it at wal-mart, but broke the cup and have not been able to find once since.

PROVERBS1920-Isn't it great to get those kids in college? I have a freshman and a junior. I feel like I can really focus on me now! Not that I didn't love focusing on them when they were younger! But, a new phase in life is exciting!

NIKKIG28 - what a great idea! Have you seen one before or is this you're idea? I want one too!

Hi
I Just started today... I am a mother of two boys (both are now in college-phew), I am a graduate student, I have a great husband of 24 years, I worked in the High-tech Silico Valley for years and loved it......... but now I wanted to step back and do some self-care including losing 33lbs. Today it seems overwhelming, I am hoping it will get easier as I take each step. I also hope I can find an accountability partner in the PST time zone.

Hi! I just joined yesterday. Been through a lot of diet fads and crash diets. They did work especially the South Beach. But, when I got derailed from my track, I regained my weight with interest! *sigh*

I want to learn how to lose weight and keep the perfect weight for my height.

I'm currently having a hard time looking for food which are in the list because some of the listed foods are not available in the store where I buy groceries(in the Philippines). Also, I am taking up my graduate school studies while working from 8am-5pm. After school (mondays and tuesdays 6pm-9pm) I feel really tired and beat up. When my dad asks me to eat, I usually don't hesitate...and I join him in eating from fastfood chain food (double cheese burger or a big mac mean with large fries and large coke float.

I know I should take baby steps...but I don't know how and where to make my first baby steps.

Hi, My name is Katherine and I live in Wyoming. I am married and have 2 boys 4 and 9, plus a grown daughter that lives in California.

I started SP January 29th of this year. It has been such an awesome experience. As of today I have lost 37 pounds and feel so much better. My reason for losing weight is to keep up with my family. I want to show them how to eat healthy and to live healthy. Spark has the tools that I have been able to use to help me achieve my goals.

You can do this. Take baby steps. Set small goals that are achievable. Don't forget to reward yourself for your accomplishments. I take my weight loss in small chunks. Right now I am trying to lose 6 more pounds. I have lost 2 of that. When I reach the 6lbs (l69) I am going to reward myself with a new purse.

I have made so many new friends here from all over the world. It is like a family. We are all in this together.

If you need help with anything please don't hesitate to ask. You can sparkmail me any time. Best wishes to all of you. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

Katherine

Hello! I'm Jennifer from Oklahoma. I'm 45, a wife, mother of two college students, and a high school history teacher. My SP anniversary is October 16th and I'm pretty excited about it! Healthy living is something I've been up and down with all my life. I really feel as I get older I won't get many more chances to get AND STAY healthy! So I am in this for the long haul. I'm more or less in maintenance mode. That means that I fit my clothes! However to stay here I need to watch my diet and exercise consistently. My main advice to newcomers is "baby steps!" Don't try to change everything at once, but little by little you'll be surprised how much better you'll feel and you'll want to keep going. Don't let this enormous website overwhelm you, just use the parts that work for you. You can do this!

Hi!

I'm Kara Santona, 44, from Minnesota. My weight loss journey began in March 2005 when I joined WeightWatchers... for the third or fourth (but final) time. In January 2006, I joined SparkPeople. Since March 2005, I've lost 81 lbs and have just a few pounds to go to reach my goal weight. I've gone from someone who was out of breath for 10 minutes after tying my shoes to someone who looks forward to exercise every day and says, "Gimme more!"

I'm married, one grown daughter who has chosen to disown her family (she's a troubled person), one dog. I work overnight shift --- I'm an RN in a large hospital. Even on my nights off, I'm typically awake overnight, so if you think no one will answer your post or question at 3 AM, you just might be wrong!

Please visit my SparkPage to read more about me. You can check out my SparkBlog and picture gallery there to get more about my journey. This is the second time I've led a new member team. I lead or co-lead several other SparkTeams as well.

If I can do this, you can too. You deserve it!

Kara
