Welcome, Christiane69!

The key is to take it one day at a time and definitely don't give up. So you're already doing awesome~

Are you going to a gym? My hubby and I are going to Fitness Connection over by Trader Joes.

Didn't realize till a couple years ago that gyms aren't just for athletes and people who have perfect bodies already. Such a wide range of ages and people who go there! The older people especially inspire me because I hope to be staying active like they are in my 70's and 80's+ too!

Again, welcome and have fun learning here at Sparkspeople.com. So many resources!

Hi I am new here as well. I had started in 2010 but got sidetracked. Now I am here for a new start to a healthier life. Oh, I live in Apex, right next to the Cary boarder.... may I join anyways? :-) I didn't see an Apex TeamPage! :-)

Greetings, Baeswife!

We enjoy Fitness Connection by Trader Joes on Kildaire farm road. I especially like group classes there... You can go at your own pace no matter which class you're in.
They have silver sneakers there for older folks that is fun. I'm slightly young for it but went with a friend yesterday and worked p a good sweat. Group dance classes are a favorite of mine ( like Zumba, etc) you don't have to be coordinated to do them... Just have to want to enjoy burning calories in a fun way.

They have different deals at different times. I like not having to have a contract but paying monthly.

If you like to do mostly machines, I think Planet Fitness is a good option. I think there's one over by Preston but I can't remember the name.

If you end up going to Fitness Connection, let me know. I try to go most every day.
I figure I'm getting a teensy bit stronger each time I go.

Hello Cary Sparkers I'm new to this group and I thought I'd just introduce myself. My name is Pete and I signed up with SPARK PEOPLE on January 9th and already I've lost 4 pounds and 1" off my waist. I'm looking forward to my journey to losing my 23 pound goal.I love the idea that I have all this support from my fellow CARY SPARKERS group and I just know I will succeed.
