Hi everyone! I am new to the state of Colorado (August 2018) from Minnesota. I have been on Spark for a lot of years and lost a lot of weight and was able to maintain for about 7 years then life happens and my weight went up to almost my pregnancy delivery weight. When I finally got the courage to weigh myself in January 2018 I was at 187. I know that prior I was a little heaver due to how my clothes had felt the summer prior. I have lost 32 pounds since January and have rediscovered my healthy eating and exercising. I am just looking for continued support in my new state. :) Thank you!

Starting over again. I need to focus on myself more. I need to not let the stress get to me as much and find other stress releases instead of food and it alochol.

Hiya all!! My name is Jenny. I turned 40 in July. I have to admit, the thought of being 40 has actually scared the crap out of me. I am tired of being over weight and want to be with my husband for a long time. He is a year younger than me, lol. I live in Lakewood, Colorado. Thats just outside of Denver, Co. Would love to find anyone that would like to walk with a starter. I don't mind a group either. Let me know!!

Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!

Welcome to the SparkDenver team! emoticon

Whether you are a new member, an active member, or someone re-starting their journey with us, we want you to feel comfortable here and encouraged by our team! We also want our team to inspire active participation and to help you on your journey to become the best version of yourself!

Here are some helpful tips for navigating our team (although the forums are fairly self-explanatory):

In the General Team Discussion forum, you can find a workout buddy, share deals and discounts, or talk about anything that you think might be of interest to the team.

In the Introduce Yourself to the Team forum, you can start a thread to tell us a little bit about yourself, and you can welcome new members to the team.

In the Events & Activities forum, you can find information about upcoming walk & talks, group runs, local races, or other events in which fellow SparkDenver members will be participating. You can also start your own threads for events in which you would like to participate.

In the Challenges forum, you can check in on our monthly challenge and help us brainstorm for next month's challenge.

In the Goals & Struggles forum, you can post about your goals for living a healthier lifestyle and any particular struggles you are having. You can also give advice to other stuggling members and offer any tips that helped you with similar struggles.

Some tips for posting:

Try to post in the forum that corresponds with the topic you're posting about (i.e. don't post about a challenge in the Events & Activities forum). Also, try to stay on topic within a thread and start new threads for new topics.

If you are adding a link, remember to use the "Add a Link" button, rather than just copying and pasting in the body of the message, so that the team sees a clickable hyperlink.

Be courteous. While it should go without saying, everyone should be treated with respect and courtesy. Please do not use abusive or offensive language toward any fellow team members. Remember, we're here to encourage each other, folks!!

Be cautious. Don't give out your address, phone number or any other personal information online. And when meeting with team members (particularly for the first time), try to meet in a public place. While we all should be here for the same reasons, remember that not everyone online is trustworthy, so proceed accordingly.

In the end, please remember that this is YOUR team. Don't hesitate to start a new thread or propose an activity or event; no need to get "leadership approval" or anything silly like that! We want you to be involved and active! Please let us know if we can do anything to help you on your journey!
