!!! I can't believe there is someone else out there who feels like me - I always say I don't like food very much either (usually in response to "what's your favorite food?"). It's so ironic since I'm fat! lol No one understands what I mean. :P

I don't work with a budget but I do have certain meals I make. Granola bars for breakfast work well.

If you don't like soy milk, try Almond Milk. It's not as strange tasting and once I got used to that, it helped ease me into soy milk which I now drink because it has a better protein content (I don't like regular milk). Anyway..if you can do almond or soy milk, then cereal would become an option. Kashi makes some healthy frozen waffles - I can find them on sale 2 boxes (6 or 8 waffles each, I forget) for $4 at Safeway sometimes. ::Edit, I just saw you live in the UK so I don't know that they have Kashi, but maybe Kellogg's which has a multigrain frozen waffle::
Oatmeal is another option.
Also, maybe try eggs and turkey sausage or turkey bacon (lower fat than regular) like an omelette or scrambled - get some protein in? - ypu could add toast and a glass of juice or piece of fruit if you can handle it (eat other things first then have the juice and/or fruit?) for a rounded breakfast.

I have other somewhat cheap lunch & dinner ideas too. Send a message if you want some.

First of all, I am jealous that you say you don't like food very much!!! LOL. But, I can see how it would be hard to figure our your meals!

I have made it a priority to eat breakfast everyday, so I am glad that you are thinking of this. I don't do dairy either! Most days though, I have a high protein cereal with 1/2 cup of Rice Milk or Almond Milk. It tastes delicious, and the higher protein keeps me fuller longer. Have you tried fruit juices in the morning? I drink 1 cup of 100% apple juice most days. Do you think that would upset your stomach?

I don't have specific meal plans, but I would say that I do plan my grocery shopping around a specific bi-weekly budget (about $60), and my meals are usually based off of that.

I do sandwhiches for lunch and meat and veggies for dinner. I need to stop being lazy and make more salads!

Bottom line, I always try to meet my Spark guidelines. They haven't steered me wrong so far!

Hope this helps!

One thing I would like help with... food. I don't mind making something different for my husband to eat, but I can never figure out just what it is I want. I don't like food very much, so figuring out what I want is pretty much the hardest decision of the day. I'm trying NOT to skip breakfast, but that's tricky since I can't have dairy and most fruits (when eaten first thing) upset my stomach. I suppose I could always have a granola bar or something. Anyway, I guess my question is: Do you make meal plans? If so what sort of things do you put on yours? Do you work with a budget?

Happy Days!

Thanks! It's always nice to know you have people to talk to or complain to. ;)

So how long have you been on your journey? I noticed that you've come a long way so far... Congrats! :)

I'm enjoying my time here... more so because I'm finally able to be with my husband. We've been married for almost 5 months, but I've only spent 1 month of that with him.

Well, it's bedtime... we're leaving tomorrow to go camping for the weekend. Have fun!

Happy Days!

Hello!

Welcome to Spark and to this awesome team! I totally understand what you mean about losing the weight before kids. Although, I am nowhere close to being married, it is definitely something I have thought about.

Hope you are enjoying your time in the UK. Good luck with finding a job and good luck with your weight loss journey. I would be curious to see what the eating experience is like over there!

Take care and feel free to contact me whenever you'd like.

~Juliana

Hello! *waves*

I'm Jenna... and instead of rambling on about myself, I thought I'd just create a little survey thing as an intro. Here it goes:

Age: 26 (27 in a few weeks!)

Relationship Status: Married (for almost 5 months legally, though only a week as far as his family is concerned... lol).

Children: Just two furballs, Lewis and Gizmo. I want to lose this weight before getting pregnant.

Job: None at the moment, but hopefully that will change soon!

Location: Born, raised and educated in Michigan, USA... more recently called Colorado, USA home and now living in the UK with my husband. :)

Hobbies: Reading, writing, drawing, and now weeding/gardening. :)

I think I ended up rambling anyhow... ooops. lol Anyway, I'm always looking for people to talk to. Having just moved to a completely different part of the world I don't yet have any friends... sad.

Hope all is well!

Happy Days!
