My name is Lis, and I am 24 years old. I reside in NC :) I have always been overweight, and I have tried several diets. My last serious effort was last year after my dad passed away. Obesity and a blood clot contributed to his sudden death at 53 years old. It scared me so bad that I worked out during all my free time. I met with a personal trainer 6 days a week for an hour plus cardio. I managed to get to 270 from about 300 at the time. I came home for 2 weeks, and when I returned back to DC I could not wear any work clothes. I had suffered from emotional eatting for 2 weeks. I was miserable. I relocated back to NC last summer and have managed to get back near 300.

This time I decided I could not do a typical diet. I lose focus and get discouraged easily. At the same time, I don't want to have surgery. So I found the next best thing, Optifast. I started on July 2, 2009. By December 30,2009 I WILL be 160. I started out saying "hope" but was told to start believing that it will happen. It's not a wish, but a reality in the making. :) I could use plenty of support, and will gladly provide.

I think someday I will be happy with my weight again, I just need some sort of motivation. I usually lose when something clicks and tells me I need to lose. I am at my highest weight and the clicker hasn't went off yet. When it does, I'll be ready.
