Your story sounds like mine. I was doing good losing weight then someone I was in love with broke my heart for the last time. Then I got into another bad relationship and I gained all my weight back plus about 60 more. I had to take the last 2 years to fix myself and now I'm finally making that change with help from some really good friends. I recommend having that one good friend keeping you in check. The buddy system really works and motivates you. If you need a buddy let me know. I can help motivate you the best as possible. The most important thing is to be positive. And when things are looking grim, just keep on pushing through. I hope you reach your goal like many of us are trying to.

I've been a member of SparkPeople for a while now, but I haven't really gotten involved. Okay... I haven't gotten involved at ALL. It pops up in my head every once in a while-- that little voice that says "Hey, you. Get with the program. You signed up for that thing! Maybe you should use it!" But all this time, I've been ignoring it. Well, I am ignoring no longer. I am officially introducing myself, so that you know who I am, and you can poke me when you haven't heard from me in a while, and I actually have people to be accountable to and people who can nudge me along.

I have had a weight problem since the seventh grade. I was always a big kid, but it was in a proportionate way. I was way taller than every\one else, and so I weighed more. Well around the seventh grade, I stopped growing up, and I started growing out. And I've never stopped. A few years ago, I actually did lose a bunch of weight, but then I got into a not-so-good-for-me relationship, and when that ended I gained it all back and then some. Now, after an insanely rocky three years, I'm at the biggest I've ever been. 330lbs. That's a lot.

The past few years have been insanely rocky for me, emotionally, but all of that is starting to change. I'm really figuring out who I am and becoming more confident in myself as a person. I think it's time that I start shedding this protective cushioning I've built around myself and start letting my real self shine through.

I've been a member of SparkPeople for a long time. But now, I'm finally joining.
