You can totally lose the weight! The weight loss will be slow. It may be discouraging to see the scale drop slowly at first, but when it stays off? It feels great. Make a chart and keep track of your weight. It is very motivational.

Nobody can go back and make a new beginning, but anybody can start today and make a new ending. ~Maria Robinson

Hi everyone. I'm Laci, and I'm 26 years old. I can't believe I'm already 26. I've been trying to lose weight since I can remember. I guess I can't really say I've tried very hard. I keep starting new diets....diets that require a huge change for a temporary period of time. Slimfast. Atkins. cabbage soup. the miracle cookie diet. Nothing that can be sustained over a life time. So, after the diet ends, old habits return, weight comes back. I guess I just need to learn how to eat properly, make a habit of exercise.

I was on here a few months ago. I tracked my food and exercised diligently for a few weeks but I really didn't lose any weight. maybe only about six pounds. I think the real issue is that I don't know if I fully believe that I can lose weight. I've been fat for so long that It's kind of become definitive of who I am. It's become a part of my personality. It's very strange to think of that not being who I am anymore. I'm really excited for it though, I don't want to be known as the fat person forever.
