I know where your coming from! My hubby joined at 30 after being a cowboy for all his life. It was a huge change for us and the kids. It did afford us opportunities that the kids wouldn't have had otherwise and no matter what some career military wives say, free healthcare IS a benefit. Especially when you know firsthand how much it really costs in the civilian world! Welcome to our group, we're all in this together!!

My husband and I have been married for 12.5 years now and we have 6 children together (yes, you read that right!). He is currently in BCT at Ft. Jackson then we are headed off to join him at FT Huachuca during his AIT... then where ever the Army wants us.

It's a long story how we decided to make this huge lifestyle change in our 30's... but we're here that's that. :)

I'm looking for all the support I can get. We're done adding to our family, and without the "hurry up and lose the baby weight before I get pregnant again!" motivation and taking care of our little ones all by my lonesome (not whining, just is what it is), I have been somewhat lazy.

My husband was never into fitness before enlisting -- he is one of those people who can eat whatever and not gain weight... and usually between pregnancies, I'm kicking booty in the gym and good about eating clean (or healthy). We're sort of flip-flopped right now and it's kinda weird for me.

I'm not going to reach my goals by his BCT graduation (too much to lose from this last difficult pregnancy!)... but I am interested in getting fit FOR LIFE. Just because I've got 6 kids and am now an Army wife, doesn't mean I can't have a fit body. :)
