Welcome to the group. I have found that being so far from long time friends and family have made me a stronger person. I have discovered the Family Readiness Center here at our post and they have tons of classes you can take with FREE CHILDCARE and also the ACS building. That is where I have met women more my age and with the sme goals that I have.

I know exactly how you feel. This is the hardest deployment for the both of us.

I want to show him that I can better myself in moree ways than one. I am prior service and have been an Army wife for 10 years. I am from South Tx and we are in Colorado.

How do you guys cope with the no family and friends. All I di all day is spend time with my kids adn take care of the house. Most of the wives I know are very young and like to go out and party and drink.

I wish I could just meet a group of ladies that are going thru the same thing and are not judgemental or immature.

Congrats on the new marriage. I know that my husband motivates me as well. We are 10 months into our 15 month dployment also. I really didn't think it was going to be as hard as it has been at times.

I've been trying my hardest to get through this 15 month deployment. He left 2 weeks after we got married and the last time I saw him was during R&R in July.

When he returned back to Iraq from R&R, a light bulb went off in my head. I started to realize what I needed to do as a new wife and what I needed to accomplish for my self before our big move to Ft. Hood, TX.

He restored by self esteem and just being with him motivates me to better my self every day. He's a great man, husband and solider. I want to surprise him and show him that I too can be "extra motivated and dedicated" as he is.
