Hi everyone! I started again with healthy eating on Jan 1st and happy to say that I have lost 54 pounds so far! Things have slowed way down in the last month, and I still have about 23pounds to get to goal. Hoping with the help of Spark I can keep on trucking! Want this to be the LAST TIME I will need to do this!

Life is good, and is getting better....

Hi everyone,

I am new to the boards, but not new to trying to lose weight. Today, I stepped on a scale at my doctor's office and almost cried. I've lost weight in the past but gained it all back...it kind of makes me feel like a failure. However, I am trying to maintain a positive outlook and get healthy.

Hello all my name is Christine!

I have 4 wonderful kids ages 6, 4, 3 and 11mth. I in a medical assisting program that soaks up 25 hours a week. Finding exericise time has been hard for me. I restarted my Sparks journey at 180 pounds. I am trying get back to 130. I was able to control my weight through out my pregnancies until the last. I gained 50 pounds with him and only lost 10 after birth and it is not trying to go anywhere. Something about summer time has got me in a lose weight mode. I am tired of not wearing clothes. Sweats and shirts have got to go!

Hi there, I'm Rianne and I weigh 200 pounds even. I'm looking to get to 140, so I have 60 pounds to lose total. Me and my mom are working at this together, but her goals are a bit different than mine. I want to eventually be able to run a 5k, am doing beachbody insanity starting on monday with the doctors approval, and eat right. I've been a comfort eater for years but now is the time to build a better relationship with food, and snap my body back into shape over these next 8 months.

My name is Chassidy and I am currently at 238-245 pounds and would like to be around 195 lbs. I am in need of a quick slap on the a$$ to get me started into eating healthy, making smart choices and working out regularly. I have lost weight before but I gained all of it back and then 20 lbs more! I am tired of looking at myself in the mirror and being disappointed.

Hi. I'm 35 and want to lose at least 51 pounds. I've been doing really well since March 1st, but this weekend was awful for weight-loss.

My name is Riley, I'm 22 and my long term goal is to lose 100 lbs, going from 255 to 155. I'm currently at 243.8, so I've got a long way to go, but I'm over 10% there! My husband and I joined the Y and we're making a lot of diet changes. We're trying to do this the healthy way! It's really hard, and I'm sure you all understand that. Hey all! I'm Lauren and when I first joined this site I dreamed of being able to join a team like this! I weighed in at 308.8 in June 2011 and have lost about 90lbs since then. Between the holidays, new boyfriend and stress, I've managed to "only" maintain for the past few months, but would love to lose the next 60lbs in the next 4-5months. I've found a passion for running, recently joined the gym and have recommitted to healthy eating! Heres to the next 60lbs!! :)

I'm karen and new to the site.... i really need to lose around 50lbs before september which is when we are going on our summer holidays. Last year when we went away with my family i felt like a baby hippo in a bikini, my daughters kept telling me that i looked ok and that there were bigger women than me there, but i felt awful and i swore that by the next holidays i would lose this weight. i have lost 20lb before i joined SP. I was always small up until about 9 years ago when i had my youngest child, steadily onto of my baby weight i put on.
I swear that this weight is coming off and i will look fab this summer...

you haven't got to do it, you get to do it!!!

Hi! My name is Lauryn. I am almost 26, a mother to two beautiful little girls, and engaged to the most wonderful man I have ever known. My oldest is 6 and half and the newest addition to our family is almost 4 months old. Hi, I'm Vicki. I live in Titusville, Fl. I'm 55 years old and about 80 lbs over weight. I've been trying for over a year to get my weight down and all I've done is yo-yo back and forth. So I've started a lower carb plan like I did back in the 80's ( I lost 105 lbs in 13 months and kept it off for 18 years), and I'm hoping to get the weight back off over the course of the next 2 years. I'm not nearly as active as I used to be so I know the weight won't come off as fast as it did back then. Plus I've gone into full menopause so my body tends to have a mind of it's own. I lose motivation easily so I'm hoping the team will help keep me motivated to stay on track. Thanks for having me.

Hi. I am not NEW. Sadly I joined this years ago then fell off the wagon. Now I HAVE to. I went to the DR and for the first time my #'s did not come back. I can no longer tell myself "I may be fat but I'm healthy..see look at the blood work!" lol So I am on a nutrition plan and tracking it on spark now! I am taking phentermine starting today. If anyone has any info on that from personal experience feel free to email me. Looking forward to doing this FINALLY!

I am new to SparkPeople. I am very excited about the goals I have set for this new year. I want to get back into shape and lose 50lbs. I exercise 3-4 times a week but I am addicted to sugar. In the last month I gained 15 lbs which put me at 190lbs. Over the last couple of days I have stopped drinking diet sodas and I begin cutting back on the processed foods. I need a little encouragement so that I can stay focused on eating right and taking better care of myself.

My name is Kara and I'm not new to sparkpeople, but I do have a total of 80 pounds to lose. I could really use a buddy who needs to loose about the same, so please send me a message if you are interested.

I have 2 sons and am married. For exercise I have accomplished a goal of running a 5K, but now I am going to start training for my first half marathon which is in October, so the goal is to lose my 80 pounds by then. It is aggresive, but it is doable.

I am JumpUp! I joined Sparkpeople in 2007, attained most of my goals and then SLACKED OFF. Now I am back with more weight to lose than ever.

Just getting the hang to posting. I have been a member before put not to active. looked back last year and I gained 6 pounds. I want to lose 65. I blamed it on stress at work but found that it is harder to keep up the pace when you are over weight so the stress is more. Look forward to meeting you all and learning this time around

I'm Becca. My inital goal is to reach 85kg, medium-term 70kg, long-term 55kg. From where I am now to 70kg would be approximately 40lbs, and then another 33lbs to reach my final goal.

I have a profound physical impairment which means that I am functionally quadriplegic (no exercise possible), so it's going to be diet all the way.

Wish me luck... or strength, which is probably a lot more useful.

Reaching a healthy weight... 0.1kg at a time, if I have to.

Hello,
I used SparkPeople back in 09 to lose 50 lbs and then fell off the wagon and am back to lose 54. It's Day 1 for me and I think my utilizing this site I will keep myself motivated. Last time I was single and was able to drop the weight rather quickly through diet and exercise...this time I am engaged and I am hoping my dedication to this process will encourage my fiance to do the same.

Hello everybody, My name is Luna, I am 22, and I weigh 214 and I need to be somewhere around 145, so I need to lose 69 pounds. Since I was 12 I have fluctuated back and forth between 180 and 250. I have managed to stay below 220 for a few years now, (excluding during my pregnancy). Hopefully, this year will be my breaking point and finally get away from the usual routine.

Hi I am Jan. I am very new to spark but not trying to lose the weight. I am hoping the fact my attitude has changed will help make this a life style change and not a temporary thing. I want to be healthier for me and my family. I also want to be the best example I can be for my two girls. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.
