Welcome Gypsy. I have been at Spark for just over a week now, and I find it very supportive. I would guess that most, if not all, of us share your up and down weight history, i am hoping that spark will help us to develop a healthier way of living so that we can take our weight out of our self-talk picture.

I am more than my illness.

Hi team, I am new here, in hopes of loosing a lot of weight. I need all the help I can get. I have been up and down that scale most of my life, lost and put it right back on again. Once again, I am trying to change all of it, and loose this weight before it kills me. It has effected my health, beyond belief. Wishing all who are in the same boat. Good Luck on reaching our goals.

I could have written this post it so mirrors my thoughts, although in my case I want to keep up with my children at Disneyland. I was kind of a late starter in the kid department (Smile). I joined Sparks a week ago using the phone app and just discovered there is more available on the full web page...or maybe I just don't know how to find it using the app. I do find Sparks keeps me focused on the goal of losing weight, becoming fit and being healthier. I sincerely hope participation does the same for you. We can do this!

Don't let your age fool you! I'm 54 and weigh just under 300 pounds and this morning I swam a mile for my daily fitness. I have lost about 90 pounds and have struggled up and down - but the good news is that you can always TRY AGAIN just like you said. You can do it! Set small goals (even only one is ok!) to start and before you know it, you'll be on your way to all kinds of healthier changes. YOU GOT THIS!

Hi, I have tried everything to lose weight. Being 50+ years old has made it a little hard. I've also been able to make excuses to myself that I wasn't that big. I was just fooling myself. I am very close to being Type 2 diabetic and want to reverse that if possible! But, I want to be around for a long time to enjoy my family and future grandchildren. With my busy lifestyle, I feel as though this will work better for me. I do have a positive outlook on this. I also have a goal to take my grandson to Disney World the summer of 2017. I want to be able to keep up with him and not be a hindrance to my family with walking.
