Welcome and congratulations for taking this important step. We are all in this together and here for each other. I tried before and got sidetracked, distracted, name it. SInce returning a few weeks ago, I haven't been perfect but am determined to do it this day at a time, sometimes one hour at a time, and sometimes one minute at a time. The beauty of spark people is that you can always find something to perk you up and keep you going. Best wishes and keep on posting.

don't worry- I have a lot of weight to lose too- but you will find sparkpeople so helpful and supportive. i have met so many kind and caring people- it will make all the difference on your journey. emoticon

HI Dinkachu! Welcome to SP and to the team! You just made your first big step by posting! It took me a while to post and I am so glad I did! I have met so many amazing people on this team! We all support each other in the good times and the bad times. No one judges anyone and you will get so much support! Join in on the monthly chats and you will meet a lot of people! Just look for the February chat on the team page and join in! One of the biggest things I did that made me accountable in my journey was to tell anyone and everyone who would listen that I was doing this. Everyone I come in contact with knows! I found for me, it really helps because I can't go backwards. Not that I want to! Make sure to track your food everyday. I noticed you said you have mobility issues. On the team page you will see a listing for "limited mobility" exercises. These may help you out. So happy to have you on board. We are all on this journey together! Have a great Tuesday!

There is a song on a show that my Grand Kids watch and I think it applies : "Keep trying, keep trying, don't give up, never give up" I intend to keep trying and I will never give up till I reach my goal!

Nothing happens overnight. Remember one pound lost is one pound closer to your goal.

Hi, a friend told me about Sparkpeople and I am excited to find some encouragement and perhaps even some accountability on my weight loss journey.

I am morbidly obese and have many health and mobility issues that I am determined to overcome.

I look forward to 'meeting' fellow travelers on this path to health.
