Aww thank you that is all good advice. Yeah, I can be hard on myself sometimes but I've gotten better with that over time. Much appreciated.

Thank you, always inspiring to hear success stories! Great advice-- one day at a time; sometimes it's even one meal or workout even at a time lol. Change is coming though. I'm trying to focus on a lifestyle change and as long as I'm giving my body what it needs and taking care of it, I figure all the numbers on the scale and meters and blood tests will take care of themselves and fall into place.

Welcome! and hello from Cape Cod. I agree with Crazy Dog - one day at a time. Also be kind to yourself. You will not follow a straight path to your goal, but that is how we learn. Never beat yourself up for missing an interim goal, etc. All the best to you on your journey. You will find plenty of info, support and inspiration here.

Welcome! Take it a day @ a time. I had 100+ lbs. to loose, too (diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disease). No meds anymore for the diabetes (nutrition and exercise controlled) and off my hypertensive med, too. So . . . there IS HOPE.

Hi; I'm new here, I found it because I was looking for a calorie tracker and looked around and, hey, what a cool community.

So I'm Mac, or Kenzie or Mackenzie-- any will do. I'm working on my Spark page but the nutshell version is: I'm 50, a writer, a mom of 3 humans & a furbaby, I'm Pagan, I'm originally from NY but relocated to TN a couple of years ago & am loving it here.

My weight has long been an issue but I need to get my weight and blood glucose levels under control once and for all because they are badly beginning to impact my health. I enjoy cooking and gardening so I am indulging in those hobbies to help me eat better and I've been going to the gym and actually starting to enjoy exercise because of how it relieves stress.

I don't have a specific target goal yet but I am over 100 lbs overweight; so I have a long road to go. Right now I'm trying to break it up into bite-sized chunks, a few pounds at a time. I'm hoping to get down seven by the end of the month.

Always could use more friends :o) so if you wanna share high fives or want a sympathetic ear on a rough day, look me up or send me a message or something.

Happy 4th everyone, btw, hope you had a good day and that everyone is staying safe out there in these troubled times.
