Glad to hear that you're not giving up. If dieting was easy maybe it would be something I could stick too, maybe. LoL!

Thank you. It’s definitely not about perfection but about progress. I am determined to learn that lesson.

Welcome! I think so many of us with this much to lose have a very similar history . . . up, down and all around. I have Sparked for a long time and always find it a great place to check in with, even if things aren't going that well for me. Each of us has to find the right combination of things that work for us - there is no secret, perfect formula. For instance, in my case, I just can't seem to stay motivated with exercises one would do in a gym; so I walk. Sure, I am not toned all over, etc., but I figure it is better to walk rather than no exercise at all, and I leave the door open to start strength training at some point. Previously, I would try to be the "perfect" dieter all at once and eventually fail. All the best to you as you find your way to a healthier life!

Thanks so much. Quick question-How did you get the tracker? I'm hoping to learn how to navigate the site a little better. (For example, I had to go through my email to get back to this thread).

Hi,
I am a 50 year old woman who has lost the same pounds over and over again. I have been over weight most of my adult life. I haven't started quite yet, but I'm in the process of gearing up. My first goal is to get under 200, so about 53. (Two years ago I was under 200 then several life events happened and I turned to my drug of choice-food). I'm praying I can find the motivation -I know I won't see the results very quickly and in the past, that has been discouraging. I have to get past this way of thinking. Blessings to you who are fighting this same battle.
