Hi Kathy Lee, I know exactly what you're talking about. I joined SP several years ago, but kinda let it slip away. Now I'm struggling to get back with the program. But I am determined to push myself again. I too, have high blood pressure and am 74 going on 75 in a couple of days.
Had a left hip replacement, and I finally am able to do a few things I've not been able to to for several years.I play water volley ball 2 -3 times a week (Pool). Now I need to get myself motivated to do some walking. I tire easily these days, but my fault. Been in-active for some time. That changes as of today.
Good luck with your endeavors, and look forward to hearing your results, as we are in the same boat! emoticon

Good Morning Everyone. My name is Kathylee, I'm 74 years old and at present weigh 210 lbs. A number (210) I never thought I would ever reach. Like so many others I have tried through the years to control my weight (at 74 that's a lot of years!). Losing weight is much harder at this age which is why I was so happy to see this group. I'm kind of new at joining a group so I'm still learning my way around.

Its been hard at this age to keep myself motivated. So many times I feel like its hopeless and why bother? I've had several back surgeries and a knee replacement. I have high blood pressure and I can't make a bed without getting out of breath. I'm sorry, I don't mean to complain so much because I know this is all of my own doing. But it feels good to get all of this out.

I look forward to talking with everyone and Hope I can help anyone who just needs someone
to listen. God bless. emoticon

Hi all. I'm new to the group. Have been trying to lose weight for 20+ years. Have had undiagnosed PTSD that whole time. Now, 6 months into therapy, I believe I am finally able to do so. The trauma response will really mess with your life!
