Hi FORESTPAL I follow Paleo Lifestyles group. Maybe I'll see you over there. I was on Paleo for awhile last year and then I stopped. Now I am back on and hope I find the motivation to continue to my goal weight.

My Paleo plan encourages apples - or at least half. One of their snacks is nutbutter on slices of apple. (they don't recommend peanutbutter, cause peanuts are in the bean family.)

Yes and no... I started 1 year ago and was just using the Spark recommendations - I lost 1 kilo a week for the first 5 months! Then instead of slowing down it came to a screeching halt. All the charts say I should lose on 1,500 calories... but it seems that is my maintenance.

I am increasing my exercise, because I do not want to eat less than that... We will see if the plateau breaks!

I have tried to keep a reasonable "diet". All things in moderation. I watch the macros, and the calories will take care of themselves (math is like that). My main things are to not drink my calories. I drink water, sugar free Tang, and Coke Zero. Also, I have cut WAY down on sweets, but I have not cut them out completely. I find being too restrictive leads to binging (for me). If the occasional candy or donut can fit in my macros, it is good to go. My main salty snack is peanuts, they sell them in individual sachets of approx 1 Tbl. (here in the Philippines everything is in sachets). My main sweet snack is apples (which is why keto would not work for me ha ha).

Yes, I am successfully losing, using Spark to give me motivation. I've followed a wide variety of plans, & every time I try a different one, I find teams that follow it. I'm currently on Paleo, and the 2 paleo teams I follow are helping me learn it, & encourage me.

Stick with it Dawn. You may need to check out a variety of teams - I recommend that.
